ESPN is reporting that the Patriots are close to signing Doug Flutie. Mike Reiss has a brief note as well in his Reiss’ Pieces blog.
WEEI’s Pete Sheppard confirmed at 3:55 that Flutie has signed a one year deal with the Patriots.
