A quiet 7-3 loss for the Townies last night as they opened a series at Fenway against the Orioles, a team that has become their nemesis in recent years. As has been their way recently, the Sox conceded their opponent a few early runs but, unlike the past three games with Tampa, the Sox bats were unable to make up the difference. The game was notable for the unusual mix of pitchers with Lenny Dinardo, replacing the suspended David Wells, making his first major league start followed by a couple of September callups and the return of Keith Foulke.
