Celtics are a very motivated group of players. They havent been able to reach such high stakes in a long 22 years, I believe that there deprivetion from championship tittle is going to influence extra hunger and drive to suceed. I was busy eating my spicy Thai soup, so I couldn’t click on the curl-headed boy’s piece, but I’ll bet my fortune cookie it had something to do with the Sox coming back from 3-1 against the Evil Empire…and that the expression “evil empire” was used…maybe even Reversal of Fortune showed up as the requisite pop reference that doubles as an homage to Odom’s Rhody roots.

Rick, I don’t buy that, besides, Lakers fans always miss the 1st quarter anyway. Putting the games at 8:00 isn’t going to hurt anyone, people would rather see the end of a basketball game then the beginning anyway.

If the Celtics do win tonight, Shaughnessy’s column will look even more stupid and bitter than it does right now. Then again, the shelf-life of his column isn’t supposed to exceed 24 hours anyway. The fawning and gushing coming from Shaughnessy later tonight will be a hilarious foil to the column he penned for today. The guy is absolutely a few French fries short of a Happy Meal at this stage of his career.

Celtics will win, they missed a good last opportunity in LA to beat Lakers at home, not very interesting 5th game. Hope game 6 will be full of action.

How about the other fact that there is life outside of the Eastern Time Zone? Are D&C so obtuse that they cannot realize that the 9:00 PM starts are a compromise so that all of the country can enjoy the games?

Great point about the World Series games Bruce. I’ve been saying this for the entire playoffs. Not to mention that in the Glory days in the 80’s all the weekday games started 9 pm. The only difference was the late start on Sundays.
