"Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz proving again that they are baseball’s most dynamic duo."

I had to quote that line so I could establish some relevance to BSMW for this rant. For the 10 seconds it took me to change CDs in the car this morning, I got afflicted with mad Cowherd Disease. The guy hosting the morning drive-in show on the "World Leader in Sports" said that Big Papi and Manny were the best 3-4 hitters since Mantle and Gehrig. I'm ready to let it go as just one of those slip-ups. But then someone in the studio corrects him and says it's Ruth and Gehrig. No, our sports expert argues, Ruth was done playing by 1927. Mantle and Gehrig were the 50s and 60s.

Of course we have to remember this is ESPN's West Coast programming.
