I had to quote that line so I could establish some relevance to BSMW for this rant. For the 10 seconds it took me to change CDs in the car this morning, I got afflicted with mad Cowherd Disease. The guy hosting the morning drive-in show on the "World Leader in Sports" said that Big Papi and Manny were the best 3-4 hitters since Mantle and Gehrig. I'm ready to let it go as just one of those slip-ups. But then someone in the studio corrects him and says it's Ruth and Gehrig. No, our sports expert argues, Ruth was done playing by 1927.
