Over at Scott’s Shots, David Scott reports that Gordon Edes has finally given his notice at the Globe, and will be done at the end of this month.

On Patriots Daily, Scott Benson has the first edition of The Sunday Links for the 2008 season.

Gordon will be a talent wherever he goes, but the Globe has seen its best days. The way to restore health to the newspaper industry is to find a way to grow advertising revenues, or to charge consumers for on-line access. No rational industry observer thinks either will happen. Meanwhile, editorial bias and unhinged, angry columnists add to the mass exodus of readers.
