Yet entirely predictable, given that their fundamental belief is that people care about sports because of them. The whole world has always revolved around miserable pricks like John Dennis and Gerry Callahan and Ron Borges, et. al.

Just ask 'em.

Bruce makes a great point about how John Dennis' comments are totally laughable.

I mean, Bill Belichick actually CARES what Ron Borges thinks or says? Get real.

Belichick certainly monitors the media, I'm sure, to ascertain which reporters are being fair and which ones have an agenda, and he duly rewards the ones (like Mike Reiss) who are fair, and ignores the ones who are not.

But does it "piss him off" that WEEI has hired Borges? Are the Patriots "nervous" about it? It's a complete joke to even suggest that.

A redesign has to go hand in hand with a server upgrade. The site takes forever to load.

I don;t understand this website push for WEEI. The brand doesn't rest on credibility. Also, it seems too late. People are pretty set in their online reading habits and I find that I am drifting away from professional writers as they tend to say the same cliches.

WEEI.com will not be of any use to me until they redesign it (again) and make it less of a clusterf*ck. It's possibly one of the most crowded, counter-intuitive websites I've ever had to use. I have their "listen-live" page bookmarked so I don't have to deal with trying to navigate it.

I dunno...I never viewed what Borges did as much different than what any reporter with those 'notes' columns probably did...unprofessional, maybe, but not Patricia Smith/Ken Powers fantasies...or is there another scandal I'm not aware of?

I'm not a big fan of him personally anyway, but considering the cast of oompa loompas WEEI already employs, this isn't the thing that proves they have no credibility.

That's cute, they've found something for Ron to do. And its not like he doesn't know his way around the Internet (which is the same thing as AOL, right?. But does this mean he'll be leaving his post at Grit Magazine?
