NESN, New England’s most watched sports network, will premiere The Instigators on Thursday, December 4th at 6:00 pm. This first of its kind Original NESN Entertainment (ONE) production will feature Bruins’ studio analyst Mike Milbury, color analyst Andy Brickley and play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards as “The Instigators”, debating the hottest and most controversial national hockey topics every Thursday night.
“This is a breakthrough show for hockey fans and an opportunity to expand our commitment to the coverage of the sport,” said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive vice president of programming and executive producer. “Mike, Andy and Jack are nationally respected hockey minds, and with The Instigators we are giving them an exciting new forum in a weekly half hour format to voice their opinions on the NHL.”
The Instigators, which will air every Thursday at 6:00 PM and 10:30 PM, is shot on a NESN-designed virtual set. Unlike traditional regional sports network programs, The Instigators will tackle national topics like hirings and firings, rules controversies, surprise teams, and favorite NHL tough guys and personalities. With the premiere of The Instigators, NESN now has two weekly Original NESN Entertainment programs on its schedule that are dedicated to hockey in support of its Bruins game-day coverage.

The Instigators??…..hasn’t there already been a Patriots version of this? except it’s called, “a Felger column”…a Ron Borges column, a John Tomase column, a Hector Longo column….etc…etc..etc..

Finally! A media outlet is finally allowing opinion to be voiced about sports…or at least hockey…which is sort of like sports…

This should be fun, especially given how much Mr. Edwards enjoys the antics of Sean “Sloppy Seconds” Avery…
If Millbury whacks Edwards with a shoe on the show, I’ll give it a solid APPROVE!!!
I like the idea of The Instigators. I’ll definitely tune into it. However, NESN should get rid of The Buzz, and bring back Bruins All Axcess featuring the two hotties Jillian Nathan and Kelly Barrons. I enjoyed that show!
Milbury is must hear television…..he is very good at this & in a few years….ESPN will be calling. As good as he is at this he was bad as a GM. Sorry, just being honest & i will enjoy this show with Brickley’s well worded opionions and Edwards cheerleading!
