Baseball has to do something about this "haves" and "have nots" disparity. I grew up watching teams like the Reds, Pirates and Royals in the playoffs almost every year....none of those franchises even has a shot in this post-1994 strike baseball environment (part of it is crappy and cheap ownership, I know, but a bigger part of it is the new economics of baseball IMO).
