9th annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon on Air Today

The 9th annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon began with Dennis and Callahan this morning, and will run all day today and tomorrow. The broadcast is full of emotional patient and caregiver stories, and celebrity guests.

If you’re in New Hampshire, you can listen to the Radio-Telethon on Sports Radio WGAM on 1250AM in Manchester and 900AM in Nashua. Each day from 4P-6P, Mike Mutnansky will host the locally produced “Hometeam” and blend local sports talk with local inspiring stories associated with the telethon.

    The Jimmy Fund is obviously a great organazation……having said that I just can't listen…….
    It's that time of year where the NORMALLY rude, arrogant,sarcastic, mocking, full of themselves WEEI hosts all of a sudden turn into SICKY SWEET,SUPER NICE FELLAS……oh, how it warms my heart……..YEECH!….bunch of frauds

      Um ever think they are "nice guys"? For example, people like Dennis and Callahan are insufferable on radio. I disagree with most of what they say. But they all have families and friends and people who must love them.

      It's funny you say "normally rude, arrogant, sarcastic, mocking, full of themselves". That describes most people (including myself) who post on this site and who call into WEEI as well. Think of it as entertainment and something to complain about, unless you are that old loser Angry Bill who sits by his radio all day…

        D&C might be right up there with Mother Theresa in real life but I only know of them from their jobs in the media. Both guys come across as mean, miserable, rotten human beings on the radio. It is the impression that I get from listening to them. I asked this question on a post earlier, if you were not familiar with the Jimmy Fund but had listened a few times to Dennis and Callahan would you really be willing to give money to a cause that they were trying to help? I frankly would not. Dale and Holley are a different story. Both guys come across as decent human beings. In real life they may be as nice as Bobby Knight, but the impression I get on the radio is that they nice people whose cause I would help if they were asking.

    Bottom line: If WEEI wasn't part of this fundraiser, millions wouldn't be raised for the fight against cancer. I can live with the lesser apects of some things to support the greater cause and I commend Bruce for giving props on the front page.
